Meet the Artist . . .

Daniel Botkin studied art at Illinois Central College and Illinois State University and graduated with a B.S. in Art. In September 1995, he began renting studio space at the Checkered Raven Gallery (later renamed Contemporary Art Center) in Peoria, IL, and at that time began working and exhibiting in galleries.  Since then, he has exhibited his work in juried competitions and galleries across the nation, has been the recipient of 8 awards and 2 grants, and has had his work featured in 5 magazines.  Places where his work has been exhibited include the Davenport (Iowa) Museum of Art, the Fraser Gallery in Georgetown, the Russell Senate Building, and the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC. He has also completed 3 comic books, which are in the archives of the Graphic Novels Collection at Columbia University, NY, and has recorded 3  CDs of his music.
